Itinerary

7:00 AM The tour guide will pick you up at the Saigon Opera House. Then you will stroll down Dong Khoi, the fancy and luxurious street as it was since the French colonial times. We will pass by the city hall and Nguyen Hue walking street to see the city’s pride.

Our first stop is one of the oldest Pho restaurants in town where the original taste of Pho remains unchanged for over 70 years. After filling our stomach with hot delicious Pho, we are ready to visit the Ton That Dam market, the market for the upper class, the few downtown markets that sell everything for the local essential needs.

Then we discover the old and charming apartment and stop for a morning drink- Coffee. It is a must-drink for Saigonese in the morning. Sip coffee and talk about life and watch traffic going around is what we do to get ready for a day.

After that, we will head to the Quang Trieu Assembly Hall to learn about Chinese history as well as the spiritual life of Chinese- Vietnamese in Saigon.

11:00 PM The walk will end with lunch at the local restaurant. There is nothing better than delicious local food to get the introduction of Vietnamese cuisine.

We will drop you off at your hotel after the tour.

How far is the whole trip?

Walking distance is approximately 5 km. We will make a few stops during the trip to try some local foods, take photos and interact with locals.

Our tour is designed for adults and children from 7 as it involves intensive walking on streets, which is not suitable for children under 7. The regular uneven terrain along the tour means that it is also not suitable for stroller or baby carrier as well.

Can you cater to my food allergies/ restrictions?

Since we are provided prior notice, we can adapt the dishes on the tour to fit your food restriction which should not be a problem. So, we can cater to vegetarians OR vegan travellers. Please inform your local guide about any food allergies you might have.

What happens if it rains before/ during the tour?

During the rainy season, heavy and short downpours usually occur in mid-afternoon or evening. Rain showers usually are very short-lived and haven't affected our tours very much in the past few years. Saigon for a day in a half. Our 2 days with San and Innoviet were amazing. He and his driver navigated us around the busy city of Saigon for a half day tour then the next day through the tunnels. San is very professional and he catered to our needs. I highly recommend Innoviet Tours and if you are lucky enough to get San! Willis OBrien, Richmond, Virginia USA

Fabulous - well thought out and executed tours We pre-booked 3 tours with Innoviet prior to arriving (Hidden alleys, Cu Chi tunnels & 1 day Mekong Delta) as we wanted to maximise the few days we were located in Ho Chi Minh, but see some more authentic Vietnam and not follow the tourist traps. We had to pay 100% before arriving which made us slightly nervous but we really shouldn’t have been. All 3 tours were exactly as described .. well thought out and away from the tourist areas. All 3 guides were very informative and delightful. Groups were small with 5 of us (we were a family of 4) being the maximum on our tours. We thoroughly enjoyed every tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Innoviet or their tours ... excellent.
