Looking for an off-the-beaten-track slow travel destination? Look no further than Tan Lap Floating Village. This hidden gem is located in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, and is a perfect place to relax and experience the local culture.

Tan Lap is a traditional floating village, where people live in houses on stilts above the water. The village is surrounded by lush greenery and is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and monkeys.

If a sampan tour offers a sense of relaxation, as the sampan gently glides along the stream, sneaking into every canal and creek, then a lotus swamp exploration journey on a vỏ lãi motorboat is a completely different experience. The mighty boat cuts through the water, taking visitors on a journey along the Rach Rung River, through the water lily fields and lotus pond, to the famous “X shape” Bridge scenic center.

They can enjoy the scenery of vast cajuput forests on one side and rice fields or vast bodies of water (during the flood season) on the other, creating a very unique landscape of the Dong Thap Muoi region.

Indulge in the tranquility of slow travel as you embrace the unhurried pace of life within the park's serene surroundings. Let every moment be a reminder to savor the beauty of simplicity and the magic of exploration.

Tram Chim National Park transforms into a stage for a remarkable dance during the dry season (December to May). This is the prime time to witness the graceful red-headed cranes. Unlike many other birds in the region, these cranes forage exclusively on the ground. When the Dong Thap Muoi floods during the wet season, they must migrate elsewhere to find food. As a result, red-headed crane sightings are limited to the dry season, with the best viewing opportunities typically occurring between February and May.

A Burst of Purple: The Ephemeral Beauty of Tram Chim's Water Lilies Tram Chim National Park explodes in a vibrant display of purple during the early months of the year. The star of the show? The stunning purple water lily, also known as the violet nymph. These delicate flowers thrive in the flooded plains created by the natural seasons.
